2 Full time brand inspector trainee positions open in Lexington, Nebraska. Brand inspectors must accurately inspect cattle for evidence of ownership, collect brand inspection and beef checkoff fees, work on call as needed at packing plants, slaughter houses, feedlots, sale barns and ranches. Must be able to prepare inspection reports and other reports as assigned. Work hours and days vary, in all types of weather. Must be able to rope from foot in confined area and have a livestock background. You must locate to Lexington Training Center area at your own expense. there is a twelve month training and introductory period during which time employment may be terminated for unsatisfactory job performance. Beginning monthly salary is $2150 and includes vacation, sick leave, life and health insurance and retirement. Applicant must have own reliable transportation, valid drivers license and mileage reimbursement at 50.5 cents per mile.
