Itinerary: Friday, May 9, 2008
Depart Omaha to Chicago where we board our overnight flight to London.

Saturday, May 10
Arrive at Heathrow airport in the morning. We will be met by our guide and transported to London where we will have a great ½-day overview of this historic city. Later we will arrive at our hotel near the British Museum and you will have the rest of the day to see the museum or relax in your room.

Sunday, May 11
Today is a full day of touring with an expert guide who will take us to all the top sights in London. You will see The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral. Parliament and Big Ben, and Covent Gardens.

Monday, May 12
Early departure on the Eurostar/Chunnel train to Paris. Upon arrival, we will be met by a motor coach and a local French guide who will take us on a half day city tour of Paris to see the great sights of the City of Lights. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy after checking in at our hotel and you will be able to visit the best of Paris.

Tuesday, May 13
A lot of choices today. You can join our optional tours to the great palace of Versailles in the morning and to the majestic chateau at Fontainebleau in the afternoon, or you can head out on your own to explore the city. Paris is one of the easiest cities in which to get around and you can cover a lot of ground, including the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Montmarte, and the Arc de Triomphe.

Wednesday, May 14
After breakfast, you can get out and see the sights you have missed in Paris. This afternoon you will be transferred from the hotel to the train station for one of the highlights of the trip, the super, high speed, 200 mile per hour TGV train. Paris to the French Riviera in 3 hours and 24 minutes. When we arrive in Marseille, an old friend will greet us. “King” Robert from Autobus Ober Bayern will welcome us aboard our bus and we will head off for the short drive to our hotel in Nice.

Thursday, May 15
Our exploration of the French Riviera begins today, and there is a lot to see. We will first see the famous hill village of St. Paul de Vence with its charming medieval buildings and winding streets. Then it’s on to the famous towns of the Riviera, Cannes, St. Tropez, and St. Raphael before returning to our home base in Nice.

Friday, May 16
Ah, Monaco. Lovely place. A whole country in one bite-sized visit. There’s the royal palace and the Jacque Cousteau Oceanographic Institute to see. A full day of exploring.

Saturday, May 17
We trade the French Riviera for the Italian Riviera as we make our way along the Azure Coast to Portofino. We take a boat to this fabulous resort and will spend the afternoon poking around its nooks and crannies. Overnight will be in Rapallo.

Sunday, May 18
We drive north today, headed for the Alps. Along the way, we will dive into the lake country of Italy and make a stop at Lake Maggiore where we take a boat and a guided tour to Isla Bella, an island in the lake with a perfectly stunning garden surrounding the palace. Then we will cross the border into Switzerland and spend the night in the town of Brig.

Monday, May 19
This morning we board the world-famous Glacier Express Train for a point blank view of the Swiss Alps. Our route takes us through tunnels, across bridges and at every turn a breathtaking view. Tonight we will arrive in St. Moritz to spend the night.

Tuesday, May 20
North to Munich, Germany, arriving there in the afternoon where you will be able to spend time enjoying the city, and cap off our trip with an authentic Bavarian Banquet/Show at the famous Hofbrauhaus.

Wednesday, May 21
Our trip comes to an end as it is off to the airport at Munich where you will board your plane for the flight back to the U.S. We will arrive in Omaha in the evening.

There you have it. We saw London, We saw France, We saw Europe at a Glance!
