ACRE Webinar Draws More Than a Thousand
Published Thursday, July 02, 2009 at 05:05 AM
During a one-hour session, 1,013 participants listened to Dr. Carl Zulauf, an Ag economist for Ohio State University, Brad Karmen, FSA assistant to the deputy administrator for farm programs, and Brent Orr, DCP-ACRE specialist for FSA. The three panelists discussed misperceptions of the program, explained charts that showed calculated crop revenues and provided updated information from the Farm Service Agency.
The enrollment deadline for ACRE is August 14. Farmers are encouraged to visit their local FSA office today to learn more about the enrollment and election process of this new, risk management tool.
A rebroadcast of the webinar will be available online here, [1] starting Friday, July 3. Click here for NCGA’s ACRE Resource Center. [2]
