Evaluators Sought for Madigan Award
Published Friday, July 18, 2008 at 08:01 AM
Congress established the award in 1996 as part of the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act. The award is presented to businesses or individuals who have significantly developed or expanded agricultural export markets, developed new agricultural products or services for export markets, or successfully marketed such products or services.
The six-member Board of Evaluators operates under a federal charter and will be selected for their knowledge and experience in exporting U.S. agricultural products. Written nominations, along with required forms, must be received by USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, September 1, 2008.
