Nebraska home to high quality livestock auctioneers

Russele Sleep of Bedford, Iowa won the second quarterfinal qualifying contest. The reserve champion is Rick Shoemaker of Kearney, Nebraska and the runner-up champion is Kevin Schow of Paxton, Nebraska.
The next five highest auctioneers qualifying to world championship include Jason Santo - maso of Sterling, Colorado, Ted Baum of O'Neil, Nebraska, Andrew McDowell of Vandalia, Illinois, Will Epperly of Moneta, Virginia, and Tom Frey of Creston, Iowa.
A cash award and custom-made belt buckle goes to the winner in each quarterfinal competition. The reserve and runner-up champions in each contest also receive custom belt buckles.
The two remaining WLAC quarterfinals will be held Thursday, October 15th at the Calhoun Stockyard Hwy. 53, Inc., in Calhoun, Georgia and December 2nd at Parsons Livestock Market Inc., Parsons, Kansas.
The WLAC will be held at the Oklahoma National Stockyards in Oklahoma City in June of 2010.
