Brenda Darnell New Rural Development Area Director

“Brenda is a great asset to our Rural Development team,” stated State Director Scot Blehm, USDA Rural Development. “She has worked in the financial services field for a number of years which rural, western Nebraska is sure to benefit from.”
Darnell received her Masters Degree in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY.
Darnell, located in the Scottsbluff USDA Service Center oversees the North Platte and Scottsbluff offices which encompass the 23 counties of Arthur, Banner, Box Butte, Chase, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Dundy, Frontier, Garden, Hayes, Hitchcock, Keith, Kimball, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Morrill, Perkins, Red Willow, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan, and Sioux. Both offices deliver guaranteed loans, direct loans/grants and technical assistance in the areas of housing, community facilities, business, utilities, and telecommunications.
The USDA Service Center located at 818 Ferdinand Plaza Suite B in Scottsbluff includes the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Rural Development (RD).
USDA Rural Development delivered $109.7 million in Fiscal Year 2007 to rural Nebraska.
