LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Representatives from several countries will
visit the state in what Gov. Dave Heineman calls Nebraska's first
reverse trade mission.
About 125 guests from Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Hong
Kong, Japan and South Korea will tour the state next month.
Heineman said Wednesday that he hopes the visit will help spur
trade by providing the opportunity for international customers to
see firsthand what Nebraska has to offer.
Tours will highlight Nebraska industries including agriculture,
renewable energy, distribution and logistics, research and
information technology.
A Cargill ethanol plant, Union Pacific, the University of
Nebraska Medical Center and the Kawasaki plant in Lincoln are among
the expected stops.
