NCGA Calls on Congress to Make Stronger Biofuels Commitment, Not Back Away

Tolman admits you can’t say grain prices and ethanol aren’t having any impact on food prices – but he says the impact is minimal – and notes other factors – like drought in Australia and the declining U.S. dollar – are also having an affect. But the greatest factor – he points out – is the price of oil. He told members of Congress to stay the course and argued that instead of backing away from the RFS – the country should actually make a stronger commitment to biofuels.
