Bertha Louise Obershaw, age 78 of Rogers, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 30th, at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler with Lay Minister Jerry L. Kracl officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 29th, at Kracl Funeral Chapel and will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Bertha was born July 16, 1932, in Oakdale, Nebraska to Lyle and Augusta(Ruttebaugh) Milliken. She graduated from Oakdale High School. On July 30, 1950, she married Victor H. Obershaw at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Neligh. She spent most of her life in Nebraska and called Rogers her home. Bertha was a housewife and mother and is survived by four daughters; Peggy Roder, Schuyler, Lori(Calvin) Tweedy, Iowa, Debby(Manual) Hernandez, Schuyler and Teresa Svoboda and her fiance, John Hermsen, David City. four sons;Victor A.(Traci) Obershaw, Chris Obershaw, Roger(Penny)Obershaw and Paul Obershaw, all of Rogers, 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by four sisters; Joanne Kohl, Lincoln, Erma Cox, Washington, Marie Reese, Norfolk, Linda Peters, Missouri and two brothers; Junior Milliken, Sioux City, Iowa and Kenny Milliken of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor, son Timmy, two grandsons, Leo and Joey Obershaw, a sister, Geraldine Lotspiech and three brothers, Keith, Duane and Leroy Milliken.
