A Fremont woman accused of stealing the identity of a New Mexico woman waived her right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Dodge County Court.

Laura Mendoza, 31, is charged with criminal impersonation, a Class III felony. She was bound over to Dodge County District Court for a May 5 arraignment.

She is accused of using another woman’s name, Social Security number and date of birth for employment purposes. The victim’s name who Mendoza was using was not released, but the case originated in Clovis, N.M.
