Blood Drive Set For Creighton

March is Red Cross Month, a time to commemorate Red Cross involvement. March was initially declared Red Cross Month in 1943, when President Roosevelt issued the first proclamation to remind the American public that the Red Cross is committed to providing blood and blood products, disaster assistance and emergency social services across America and world wide. Red Cross Month allows the organization an opportunity to address one of its largest challenges – collecting enough blood to meet the needs of patients around the country. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed daily, and while approximately 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, only about 8 percent of those eligible individuals actually do. Creighton, NE at the Faith, Hope, & Love Fellowship Church will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Wednesday, March 5th from 11 AM to 5 PM. Appointments can be made by calling Julie at 358-3350.
