Nebraska State Universities feeling tuition hikes
Published Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 03:43 PM

The already budget-busting cost of attending college is about to get worse in Nebraska.

Students at Nebraska's 3 state run colleges will see their tuition increase by about 6% next year.

The hike was approved by the state college system board of trustees, which oversees several schools including Wayne State.

With the increase, students living on campus and taking full course loads will pay nearly $100 more each semester.

University officials peg the increase to higher utility costs and higher federal minimum wages.
