Residents in southeast and south-central Nebraska are bracing for possible flooding following thunderstorms that dropped between 2 and 5 inches of rain on the region. The storms raked the area Thursday night, and the National Weather Service says more rain is likely. The service has issued a flood warning for parts of six counties: Adams, Clay, Fillmore, Hall, Hamilton and York. Flooding also has been reported in Beatrice and Hastings. The weather service says more thunderstorms are expected Friday south central and southeast and in the southeast Friday night.
