State treasurer offering free financial seminar

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Nebraska State Treasurer Shane Osborn will host a free financial literacy seminar on Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Riverside hotel in Grand Island. Osborn says that current turmoil in the economy makes it more important than ever for Nebraska families to take better control of their household finances. Basics of investing, how to plan and manage a household budget, how to start a retirement plan and smart strategies to attack credit card debt will be taught at the seminar.
