New confirmed cases of swine flu in Neb. all involve children

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ After two straight days of no new cases of H1N1 flu being confirmed in Nebraska, state health officials on Friday confirmed eight new cases. The new cases all involve children 5 to 18. Four are from Madison County, in northeast Nebraska, and two are from Sarpy County, in eastern Nebraska. Another is from Stanton County, in the northeast, and one from Scotts Bluff County, in the west. Madison County now has the most total confirmed cases, with five. Sarpy County in eastern Nebraska has four cases. Pierce, Stanton and Scotts Bluff counties each has one. Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman Marla Augustine says two of the three new probable cases are in Stanton County. The other is in Douglas County. There are four probable Nebraska cases. Three are awaiting confirmation at the state lab in Omaha and the other is awaiting confirmation at a federal lab in Atlanta.
