Four people were arrested in one commercial burglary and another attempted commercial burglary over the weekend. Scottsbluff Police say three people were taken into custody for the burglary of the E-Z Pawn at 1505 Broadway shortly before 5:30 early Sunday morning.
Police say as they responded to the area a man who lived across the street called the communications center and indicated he had heard glass breaking and saw two men leave the store with goods. Other witnesses also quickly called and provided a description of two individuals in a black Cadillac in the area.
A short time later police observed the car in the 600 block of East 15th. The vehicle was stopped and the passengers, Zachary Gessner of Gering, 25 year old Ray Gonzales of Scottsbluff, and 21 year old Whitney Worth of Scottsbluff were arrested. Gessner and Gonzales are being held on suspicion of burglary, criminal mischief and disturbing the peace, while Worth, the driver, was arrested for being an accessory to burglary.
Two speakers and a speaker box believed taken from the business were located in a dumpster in the 1500 block of 1st and 2nd Avenue. --------
A Scottsbluff man was arrested early this (Monday) morning for attempting to break into the Stable Club in Terrytown. 19 year old Longino Rangel of Scottsbluff was being detained by five employees in the business parking lot shortly after midnight when Police arrived.
