A one-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate-80 Wednesday afternoon resulted in minor injuries for a Lexington man and more serious injuries for a 13 year old girl. State Patrol Sargeant Jamey Balthazar says a westbound 2002 Honda Civic went out of control on I-80 2 miles west of Overton and rolled through the median onto the eastbound lanes, where it came to rest on its top. The crash occured at 3:10 p.m. The driver, 24 year old Adan Abdinasir, was seat-belted in and sustained minor injuries. The passenger, a 13 year old girl from Grand Island, was not wearing a seatbelt. The girl, whose name authorities did NOT release, sustained serious, but "non life-threatening" injuries. She was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Lexington by the Lexington Rescue Squad. The demolished vehicle blocked one of the eastbound lanes of I-80 for about 1 and 1/2 hours after the crash, but one-lane of traffic was allowed through.
