OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Nearly everyone who lost power in the Omaha area after last Friday's severe storm should regain electricity soon. Omaha Public Power District officials said about 1,200 utility customers remained without power Thursday morning as of 8:30 Central. The utility now says most of those customers should regain power by the end of Friday. But a few customers in western Douglas County might still have to wait until Saturday to regain power. Several miles of transmission and power lines must be repaired to restore electricity to those customers in isolated areas. The storm initially left about 126,000 OPPD customers in and around Omaha without power. ___ On the Net: Omaha Public Power District: http://www.oppd.com
