GIBBON, Neb. (AP) _ Two Virginia men were arrested and nearly 50 pounds of marijuana was seized after a traffic stop in south-central Nebraska. The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper pulled over an eastbound vehicle Monday afternoon for speeding on Interstate 80. The stop was made just west of the Gibbon interchange in Buffalo County. The patrol said Tuesday that the trooper got permission to search the vehicle and then found a little more than 47 pounds of pot in the trunk. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Virginia, and his passenger, a 36-year-old man who also is from Virginia, were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver.
