Pilger Man Killed in Accident

The Stanton County Sherrif's office is continuing to investigate at two-vehicle traffic accident that claimed the life of 36 year old James Hanson of Pilger. Hanson was killed when his eastbound car went left of center on a county road and struck a westbound pickup head-on, driven by 29 year old Jason Siebrandt of rural Stanton.
Hanson was prodnounced dead at the scene and Siebrandt was taken by Life Net medical helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Seatbelts did not appear to be used and alcohol was a possible factor in the accident.
