WOOD RIVER, Neb. (AP) — Crews worked through the night to clean up an ethanol spill at a plant near Wood River.
The spill at Biofuel Energy Corporation's Pioneer Trail plant was reported about 9 p.m. Friday. Crews worked into Saturday to contain it.
It was not immediately known what caused the spill or how much ethanol was involved.
The Hall County sheriff's office says deputies closed part of U.S. Highway 30 that runs past the plant for almost four hours during cleanup.
