No Timetable For Kimball Bypass Due To Declining Road Funding
Published Thursday, April 03, 2008 at 07:48 AM

District Five Highway Engineer Craig Lind says there is no set time for constructing the Kimball bypass due to the funding issues facing the State Highway Department. Lind, who spoke to the Gering Business Club Wednesday, says declining federal funding make it difficult to assess when the state will complete express way projects like the one in Kimball.

Lind says the good news is the state has completed all the shoulder and surface improvements to major commercial highways in the district, including US. Highways 26,71, 385 and 20. Lind says there are no plans to four lane Highway 26 from Morrill to the Wyoming state line, but shoulder and surface work is planned in the next year or two.
