Published Friday, March 28, 2008 at 07:52 AM

A special meeting is set for Monday for the Columbus City Council to see if the 33rd Avenue viaduct may need to be demolished all at once rather than the previously planned partial closures and reconstruction. Inspection results showed the city the possibility of tearing it down due to further deterioration than expected.. Voters approved an $8.7 million project of the 33rd Avenue viaduct, which carries traffic from U.S. Highways 81 and 30, and it was expected to take two years with construction scheduled to begin in October. The viaduct, was originally built in 1930.
