Northeast Neb. town to get $1.2 M stimulus money

WASHINGTON, Neb. (AP) _ The town of Wynot in the northeast corner of Nebraska is getting nearly $1.2 million in federal stimulus money for improvements to its water and wastewater systems. Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., announced the funding, saying the money will help Wynot continue to provide safe drinking water for its residents. The U.S. Agriculture Department funding is part of its Rural Development's Water and Environmental Program.
