LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Quilts from Japan's most prestigious quilt competition have been put on display at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The exhibit lasts through July 19. Jurors selected the winning entries at the Ninth Quilt Nihon Exhibition for their fresh interpretation of traditional designs or the artistic accomplishment of the studio quilter. UNL's quilt center has held classes for Japanese quilt instructors who come to the states to study with American quilt makers.
