Huge Numbers Turn Out to Caucus in Nebraska
Published Monday, February 11, 2008 at 01:15 PM

More than 300 people showed up to caucus in Madison County, NE Saturday. The turnout was well over the anticipated total of just 40 people.

A standing room only crowd filled the El Dorado Hills Golf Club in Norfolk, Nebraska. It was a crowd so big that the caucus start time was delayed one hour to make sure everyone was registered.

Madison County Democratic chair Mary Doyle says the turnout is especially good, because the Cornhusker state is known for being mostly Republican.
