Tyrone Sellers
McCook- McCook high school head coach Jeff Gross said this week that defensive end Tyrone Sellers has committed to Kansas over offers from Iowa, Kansas State and Wyoming. "After attending several camps and looking into many different schools Tyrone felt that Kansas was a perfect fit," Gross said in a written statement. "Academically and athletically they had everything he is looking for. Coach Mangino has built the program on hard work and great values and these were a huge selling point. "Joining the 2008 Orange Bowl champions is a tremendous opportunity that Tyrone will accept with his full attention." Sellers helped the Bison finish as the Class B state runner up last year to Crete. McCook is expected to once again challenge for the state title again this fall.
