West Point- After hearing of the tragedy at the Little Sioux Boy Scout Camp earlier this summer former Los Angeles Dodger and ESPN baseball analyst Orel Hershiser signed 30 of his baseball cards last week before the second championship game at the college world series in Omaha. Orel was more than happy to do his part in helping raise funds for the scouts. He signed 4 of his rookie cards and 26 others from various years. He stated that at card shows he gets $20 per autograph and recommended selling the regular cards for $25 plus any other donation, and the rookie cards for $50 plus donation. KTIC and 107.9 the Bull in West Point will donate 100% of the proceeds to Bob and Carol Eilerts, former West Point residents, now living in Eagle Grove, IA. The town is currently in the process of constructing a memorial in the memory of Aaron Eilerts, one of the four Boy Scouts that lost their lives in Little Sioux. If you are interested in purchasing a card or cards email Tom McMahon at tmcmahon@kticradio.com, or call (402) 372-5423 during regular business hours Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm.
