KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Bo Pelini says he doesn't expect fans to give him a honeymoon period as he settles into his job as Nebraska's first-year head football coach. He also says he isn't worried about fans agreeing or disagreeing with his decisions as he tries to restore the Cornhuskers to national prominence. Pelini said at Big 12 media day in Kansas City yesterday that he has a plan for rebuilding the program -- and he plans to stick with it no matter what anyone else says. Job one is to strengthen a defense that was one of the nation's worst last season. Pelini says he's ecstatic about Joe Ganz at quarterback. The coach said Ganz is a better athlete than he originally gave him credit for. 2007.
